Your opportunity

 

The Enterprise Reporting team is responsible for delivering Queensland Rail's strategic and regulatory reports to key stakeholders including the Management, Board, C-level executives, and Ministers. Our team comprises skilled professionals such as Data Analysts, Report Consumers and Owners, Data Stewards, Data Architects, and Reporting Leads.

 

We are currently searching for a dedicated Senior Data Engineer (AS6) to transform, ingest, store, and manage data elements from various sources into enterprise systems.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $135,199 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.

What we’re looking for

 

  • Expertise in capturing tagging, quality, and provenance information, supporting the development and maintenance of Strategic Reports in an efficient and scalable manner. 
  • Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture, along with proficiency in Spark, Python, and SQL, is essential.
  • Experience designing systems, Databricks and Azure Data Factory, is essential.
  • Experience using Azure Logic Apps, is desirable.
  • Building robust data pipelines to support data and analytics.
  • Ability to teach and guide other team members on how to build reports in Power BI.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
