Your Opportunity


Queensland Rail is seeking a motivated professional with strong attention to detail to join our Governance, Performance & Improvement team as a Senior Document Control Officer, on a 2‑year temporary full‑time basis.

In this role, you will lead and deliver document control services, ensuring documents are managed in line with industry best practice and Queensland Rail policies, standards, and specifications. You will oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of document management systems, while supporting the business unit through effective project control functions, including contract management and project planning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the document control function to support the safe and efficient delivery of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project.
  • Ensure document control standards, procedures, and Issue Authorised processes are consistently applied.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance document control processes and efficiency.
  • Support development and maintenance of work schedules to enable effective resource planning.
  • Coordinate Contract Management System inputs and deliverables.
  • Manage document and records administration, including repositories, transmittals, filing systems, and related support activities.

About you:

  • Proven experience coordinating and maintaining document management systems, with a strong focus on process improvement.
  • Extensive knowledge of document control systems and procedures for large, complex infrastructure programs.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support document control compliance.
  • Demonstrated capability in delivering high‑quality document control services.
  • Proficiency in document management systems such as ProjectWise, TRIM, Team Binder, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to provide specialist advice, leadership, and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
