About this role:
In this exciting permanent opportunity, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Queensland Rail’s approach to organisational health and psychological wellbeing. As a key member of our team you will design, develop, and implement strategic organisational health psychology interventions and initiatives that align with our overarching Organisational Health and Wellbeing Program. Your work will directly contribute to fostering a positive, supportive, and psychologically safe workplace for all employees, ensuring their wellbeing remains at the heart of everything we do.
Purpose that Counts - Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead research and analysis of internal and external trends, benchmarking, and best practices to promote a culture of psychological wellbeing.
- Design, implement, and evaluate strategic organisational psychological health initiatives that align with business needs, industry standards, and legislative requirements.
- Provide expert advice and support through coaching, training, and consultation to workers, managers, safety practitioners, and HR professionals on occupational health matters.
- Develop policies, guidelines, and training programs that underpin strategic health psychology initiatives and foster a psychologically safe workplace.
- Contribute technical expertise to workplace investigations, including the generation of complex reports assessing workplace factors contributing to psychological injury.
- Create early intervention strategies and support frameworks for employees impacted by workplace investigations, trauma, or occupational violence, while monitoring effectiveness through robust metrics and reporting.

About you
- Demonstrated ability managing strategic, people-focused programs within complex, diverse operational environments.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary organisational health psychology principles, specifically the application of primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions.
- Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to foster productive partnerships and consult effectively across all organisational levels..
- Delivers impactful coaching and health psychology programs by tailoring approaches to meet individual and organisational needs, preferably with knowledge of, or experience in, mediation and counselling methodologies.
- High-level research and problem-solving skills requisite for adapting to shifting business priorities and delivering evidence-based recommendations.
