Your opportunity
Queensland Rail is on an exciting journey of transformation! We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced Senior Manager to lead the finance function within our Ready for Growth Transformation Office. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Queensland Rail’s financial future and lead a team of finance professionals, ensuring we optimise and embed sustainable commercial outcomes and deliver on our transformation goals. This involves:
- Developing and executing annual operational plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Providing expert cost collection, control, and reporting services
- Managing financial obligations and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Collaborating with project management and corporate finance teams
- Engaging with stakeholders to identify, implement and drive sustainable transformation initiatives in partnership with the business
- Providing strategic financial advice to senior leadership

What We’re Looking For
We seek a highly skilled leader with extensive knowledge of financial and commercial issues in large infrastructure organizations. You'll have a proven track record in a senior leadership capacity in a transformation program.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and empower your team.
- Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build partnerships with stakeholders.
- Strong continuous improvement skills and experience
Remuneration & Employment Type
This is a fixed-term, fulltime position (ending 29/03/2026), based in Brisbane CBD with a competitive remuneration package and hybrid work options to support the balance between work and personal commitments.
