About this role:

 

In this Senior Manager Program Delivery role, you will work within the Major Projects division of QLD Rail on the Logan & Gold Coast Faster Rail Program. You will provide technical leadership within a multi-disciplinary  environment, whilst working alongside a group of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, and operationally effective.

 

This is a fixed-term role with an end date of 30 June, 2029, with the potential to extend.

 

Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role:

 

  • Provide leadership, technical and professional guidance to design, planning and delivery teams of the LGCFR Project, ensuring infrastructure interface and station works are aligned.
  • Lead and provide clear direction and development of the Queensland Rail program of works for the LGCFR Project. This includes budgets, schedules and project performance measures.
  • Anticipate and address potentially significant safety, legal, environmental, and commercial risks associated with managing a large-scale project.
  • Provide detailed reporting to key stakeholders outlining progress against agreed deliverables including actual and potential variations to cost, time or quality and potential risks or issues with operational and enterprise-wide implications.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and strategically influence decision making.
  • Lead the integration of LGCFR project requirements, engineering, cost, constructability and human factors.
  • Work within the enterprise project management frameworks and governance arrangements.

 

People Who Count - What you can bring to the role:

 

  • High level of skill and proven experience in providing leadership and strategic direction of a complex major infrastructure project
  • Extensive knowledge of rail transport operations and associated legislation and organisational governance principles relating to the Rail Industry projects.
  • High level of skill in program management to optimise safety including understanding of commercial arrangements, contract negotiation, management and reporting within various delivery models.
  • High level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships.
