About this role:

 

Working within Queensland Rail’s Major Projects division as the Senior Manager Program Delivery, you will be leading the delivery of integration activities for allocated configuration states across our portfolio of externally delivered mega rail projects . This role provides a critical coordination point ensuring safe implementation of complex changes to the rail network.

 

This role is a fixed term role until 30 June, 2030, based in Brisbane CBD.

 

You can expect some of your responsibilities to include: 

 

  • Lead and integrate program workstreams, plans and schedules across configuration states
  • Oversee program controls including, scope, schedule, resourcing, risks, issues, dependencies and quality
  • Coordinate and integrate operational readiness inputs across operations, maintenance, safety, assurance, access, fleet/depots, training, customer, ICT and asset management
  • Act as the primary program interface with external delivery partners and integration entities, ensuring roles, responsibilities and escalation pathways are clear and applied and resolving cross entity conflicts
  • Lead Queensland Rail's integrated review of project deliverables, including readiness artefacts, procedures, operational instructions and evidence packs, ensuring outputs are fit for purpose and support configuration state decisions and Rail Infrastructure Manager (RIM) acceptance requirements.
  • Coordinate governance readiness for Railway Configuration Change gates by planning submissions, collating evidence and tracking conditions/actions; provide program level go/no go recommendations to governance bodies based on evidence maturity, risk and benefits/operational impact.
  • Prepare and present executive quality briefings, decision papers, dashboards and progress reports

 

What you can bring to the role:

 

  • High level of skill in leading program management, interface management or operational readiness for complex rail or major infrastructure programs
  • High level of skill in program controls, including schedule management, risk and opportunity management, issue and dependency management and enterprise-level reporting
  • High level skill in coordinating and integrating inputs across diverse internal business areas
  • High level of skill in stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
