About the role
As a Senior Portfolio Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in leading the development, maintenance and analysis of our integrated master schedule and workforce change plan.
You will be responsible for drawing together various project schedules, data sources and change impacts to create comprehensive dashboards that are easily digestible for stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the execution of data and analytics and creating strategies to present data and insights in a meaningful way. Your expertise in understanding Power BI, excel, planning frameworks, risk management and ongoing schedule management will be essential in ensuring the smooth execution and delivery of our major projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include

Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule and workforce change plan for the program portfolio, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.

Integrate multiple datasets from individual project schedules, data sources and change impacts to create consolidated dashboards for easy stakeholder visibility and review.

Lead the execution of data and analytics to create strategies and insights to support recommendations for decision-making.

Provide ongoing management and enhancements to the integrated master schedule and workforce change plan, reflecting any changes in project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Collaborate with and provide professional advice to data analysts, project planners and other business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, reliable data infrastructure, and accurate and up-to-date scheduling and operational readiness information.

Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key dependencies, schedule metrics, updates and business readiness.

Support the SEQ Integration Team in the development and implementation of scheduling best practices and standards.

About you

A minimum of 3 years of experience in project scheduling, portfolio planning and reporting or a similar role within a large organisation.

Proficiency in Power BI, advanced excel and scheduling software such as Primavera P6.

Resilience in dealing with a dynamic and challenging environment.

Ability to integrate, clean and analyse multiple datasets which come from the business, to create insights and drive improvements.

Understand how to create sustainable, insightful visualizations, and generate actionable insights and that are effective in communicating information to different audiences.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and connect effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify scheduling risks and opportunities.

Ability to be agile and highly adaptable to changing plans/targets.
