Your Opportunity


Queensland Rail is seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Senior Reporting & Systems Adviser to join our People, Wellbeing and Sustainability team in Brisbane.

 

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of safety systems, reporting tools, and projects that enhance organisational performance and safety outcomes. Your work will align with contemporary best practices and meet policy and legislative requirements.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage safety performance systems to ensure data integrity and alignment with relevant policies, legislation, and business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on SEMS data collection and analysis to meet regulatory and reporting obligations accurately and on time.
  • Interpret and report on safety data to support enterprise-wide performance insights.
  • Strengthen organisational safety analytics through robust frameworks, systems, and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with the Reporting Team to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational goals by driving improvements in safety performance.
  • Offer project-related safety advice to support optimal business outcomes.

About you:

  • Advanced technical proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and enterprise systems, with expertise in designing and implementing Safety Management Systems aligned to best practice.
  • Strong analytical ability to consolidate and interpret complex data sets, applying problem-solving techniques to generate meaningful insights.
  • Clear and effective written communication skills to tailor data interpretations and SEMS requirements for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented mindset, contributing positively to group goals through knowledge sharing and support.
