Queensland Rail is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-focused Senior Training Adviser to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with business leaders and training teams to provide expert advisory services and help deliver high-impact training and development solutions. You will play a key role in aligning training activities with organisational goals, identifying capability gaps, and supporting the design and implementation of tailored learning strategies.
Your Role:
As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with business leaders to provide valuable insights and support in the development and implementation of training and development initiatives. You will drive training solutions that ensure organisational objectives are met while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Expertise & Advice: Provide expert advice on best-practice learning and development approaches, tailored to operational environments.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with the Training Advisory team to implement and maintain the enterprise-wide training strategy, ensuring alignment across the business.
- Training Needs Analysis: Support business leaders in identifying training needs and help prioritise development initiatives to meet organisational goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement by applying quality management principles and refining learning processes to ensure training solutions evolve over time.
- Learning Solution Development: Work with your team to design and deliver effective training solutions, including needs analysis, product design, development, and evaluation.
- Project Management: Assist with the project management of large-scale training initiatives, ensuring that objectives, outcomes, and timelines are met.
- RTO Compliance: Offer guidance on Registered Training Organisation (RTO) processes, and contribute to maintaining high-quality learning and assessment products.
- Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to improve learning processes, templates, and tools to align with organisational standards and frameworks.
- Specialist Projects: Take an active role in specialist People, Safety, Sustainability, and Training Development projects as required.

The Ideal Candidate:
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, working with a wide variety of stakeholders, and ensuring smooth delivery of training initiatives. In addition, you will have:
- Demonstrated expertise in training design, delivery, and needs analysis.
- Experience managing projects, with the ability to balance multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- An analytical approach to improving training processes and systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Intermediate proficiency in tools like Excel and MS 365 for planning and coordination.
- Knowledge or experience with Registered Training Organisation frameworks is highly desirable.
