Join our Signalling Asset Renewals (SAR) team, delivering rail signalling construction and renewals works across the entire Queensland Rail Network, including regional Queensland. Based at Qantas Drive Depot in the Brisbane Airport precinct, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and modernizing critical infrastructure.
About the Role
As the Signalling Construction Officer, you will:
- Coordinate the allocation and deployment of personnel, vehicles, equipment, and rosters for projects across the SEQ and Regional Network.
- Split your time between office-based duties and fieldwork, supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling equipment.
- Supervise field installations, ensuring the safety, quality, and integrity of all construction activities, and actioning any required adjustments to project plans.
- Provide technical support and direction to the team, contributing to the successful delivery of defined project schedules.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled applicants who have:
- Cert IV in Electrical Railway Signalling (mandatory).
- Queensland Electrical Licence (mandatory).
- C Class Driver’s Licence (mandatory).
- Proficiency in systems-based tools and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in project and construction environments (highly desirable).
- The ability to work collaboratively and independently.

- A 4-day workweek when based in SEQ.
- When working in the Regional Network, a 10-days on / 4-days off roster, with travel allowances and penalty rates.
This role requires regular weekend work in SEQ and occasional extended stays in regional areas. Overtime penalties and allowances applied.
