About this role:


As a member of the Queensland Rail ETCS project team this role will see you provide leadership ensuring effective engineering capability and efficient delivery process through the life cycle of the Alliance (Design, Renewals, Implementation, Testing and Commissioning). This role will support the successful delivery of the ETCS project and is a
Permanent full-time position based in Brisbane and we have 2 positions available.

 

Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role:

 

  • Lead the provision of expert signalling engineering services.
  • Ensure the best outcomes for Queensland Rail by coaching and supporting teams to effectively manage stakeholder relations
  • Provide guidance, as a professional engineer, for signalling engineering works and monitor and manage compliance of the team
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective signalling strategies and governance procedures.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders within the CRR/European Train Control System (ETCS) Operational Readiness group
  • Project budgeting and forecasting

 

 

People Who Count - What you can bring to the role:

 

  • Expertise in Design, Renewals, Implementation, Testing and Commissioning of Signalling infrastructure
  • Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams and technical officers.
  • High level of skill in the delivery of business focused technical signalling engineering solutions
  • Skilled in coaching and leading multi disciplinary project teams
  • High level of skill in delivering commercial advantage and outcomes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and policy obligations, with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and be Professional Engineering (QLD) Registered
