Your opportunity

We’re looking for a strategic experienced and operational minded Supply Chain & Inventory Senior Specialist (AS7) to operationalise supply strategies and assure operational integration as well as leading inventory governance and optimisation across Queensland Rail. In this permanent Brisbane-based role, you’ll drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance, and support operational excellence across the entire supply chain.

In this role, you will:

• Operationalise the developed supply chain and inventory strategy to support future plans.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to align planning and process improvements
• Develop and implement robust inventory governance frameworks and performance models.
• Define standards and accountabilities for inventory controls and quality assurance.
• Lead the development of KPIs, benchmarks, and scorecards to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business leaders to ensure visibility and efficiency across the material lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure business continuity and resilience.
• Promote a culture of learning by developing training and capability uplift strategies.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $151,359 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.

• Extensive knowledge of inbound supply chain management and lean inventory optimisation methodologies.
• Proven ability to implement best practice governance and supply planning methodologies.
• Experience in continuous improvement and demand-driven process enhancements.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build productive partnerships.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and solve complex problems.
