As part of this journey, we’re looking for a skilled Supply Chain Planner (AS5) to help align supply chain, demand, and inventory planning with our business strategy.
Your opportunity
As the Supply Chain Planer, you’ll play a key part in shaping how Queensland Rail plans and delivers for the future. This is a dynamic role where no two days look the same. Your success will come from your ability to combine data analysis with stakeholder collaboration to deliver insights that drive smarter decisions.
Engaging closely with maintenance, project management, and supply chain and procurement teams, you will:
- Engage stakeholders to understand their current activities, pipeline, and challenges.
- Analyse both qualitative stakeholder insights and quantitative historical data to develop meaningful forecasts and demand plans.
- Review inventory levels, stock on hand, and incoming orders to ensure supply meets demand.
- Provide actionable insights on risks such as purchase order delays or changing ETAs and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support the delivery of integrated supply chain initiatives that balance operational needs with long-term growth.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $117,750 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrate strong project management skills to reach milestones throughout the entire project life cycle.
- Have proven experience in contract management and consultation on complex issues to arrive at solutions.
- Exhibit expertise in progress reporting, risk management, project scheduling and procurement activities.
