About the Team:
The Signal Asset Renewals (SAR) team construct, modify, upgrade and commission Queensland Rail signalling assets in both SEQ and regional Queensland. Our goal is to improve the reliability and safety of the rail network by delivering high quality signalling infrastructure through excellent workmanship and attention to detail.
About the Role:
- Assist with the installation, renewal and upgrade of trackside systems equipment and infrastructure such as points machines, level crossing boom gates and signal masts.
- Assist with civil works including excavations and concreting.
- Load and prepare vehicles and equipment.
- 4-day week plus some weekend overtime when working in SEQ.
- 10 days on (2 days overtime) and 4 days off when working regionally.
- Base Salary of $73,000 with earnings up to $90,000 (including penalties) + 12.75% super
About you:
- Self-motivated labourer / TA who wants to learn and expand their skills
- Concreting, construction or civil experience highly desirable
- Basic fabrication skills
- Hold a Drivers Licence
- We are currently experiencing a high demand for regional works. Suitable candidates must be willing to work away from home 10 days on 4 days off on a repeated basis.
