About the position:

 

As the Team Leader of the Health Hub, you will lead a team who proactively works to  develop and implement an evidence-based strategy for psychological health and safety across the organisation, including prevention of mental ill health and who also support the rehabilitation and return to work of injured or ill employees, including within the context of rail safety work.

You will work to build the framework, increase organisational maturity and embed capability to identify, assess and manage psychosocial risk for all employees across a diverse demographic. You will be key in supporting QR towards compliance with ISO-45003 and other relevant legislative codes of practice relating to psychosocial risk.

The role is diverse and dynamic, including leading the application of and adherence to the National Health Standards against all applicable roles within Queensland Rail through sound risk management and change management principles.

 

What you will bring to the role:

 

 The right person will have experience in managing large scale, complex projects related to contemporary human resources or occupational health, safety and wellbeing practices. You will also be able to work collaboratively as an effective team leader and autonomously as required. Qualifications in organisational psychology, occupational health and safety, and/or human resources will be advantageous but not essential.

 The Team Leader is required to have strong interpersonal and influencing skills as you will be required to interact with a range of stakeholders from front-line staff through to executive level leaders on a range of topics, including sensitive and confidential matters. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within a large organisation.  Interpersonally, you will have a natural relationship-building ability, strong leadership and exceptional communication skills.
