About the position:
As the Team Leader Health Hub, you will lead the delivery of Queensland Rail's workforce health, wellbeing, rehabilitation and compliance programs, ensuring employees remain healthy, supported and compliant with relevant legislative, rail safety and workplace health requirements.
You will play a key leadership role in overseeing the application of the National Health Standards for Rail Safety Workers, while driving a proactive and evidence-based approach to physical, psychological and occupational health across the organisation.
Leading a dedicated team of health professionals, you will provide strategic direction and operational oversight for critical workforce health activities. Working alongside the Manager Employee Wellbeing, Chief Mental Health Officer and Principal Adviser Psychosocial Risk, you will develop and implement frameworks that build organisational capability to identify, assess and manage psychosocial risks across a diverse workforce. You will support Queensland Rail's ongoing maturity in psychological health and safety, including progressing compliance with relevant psychosocial risk legislation and codes of practice, while fostering a culture that promotes wellbeing, resilience and early intervention.
The role is diverse and dynamic, providing leadership in rail health compliance and the continuous improvement of workforce health, wellbeing and rehabilitation services through sound risk management, change leadership and evidence-based practice.
What you will bring to the role:
We are seeking an experienced people leader with a background in occupational health, health services, workforce wellbeing, safety, human resources or a related discipline. You will have demonstrated experience leading complex programs, influencing stakeholders and delivering practical solutions in a large and diverse organisation.
The successful candidate will possess:
• Experience leading health, safety, wellbeing or compliance-related programs.
• An ability to interpret and apply regulatory, legislative and organisational requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation.
• Experience managing sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving capabilities.
• Relevant qualifications in occupational health, safety, human resources, allied health or a related field will be highly regarded.
