Are you passionate about delivering effective learning solutions and ensuring safety and competency in the rail industry? Queensland Rail is looking for a dedicated and experienced Training Delivery Officer to join our Rail Safety Training team in a full-time position in Sunshine.

About the Role:
As a Training Delivery Officer, you will be responsible for preparing and conducting both classroom and field-based training and assessments in the areas of Rail Safety. Your role will ensure that Queensland Rail employees and contractors are competent and compliant with legislative, regulatory, and enterprise requirements. You will play a key role in supporting the career development of our employees and maintaining national competence standards.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Prepare and conduct formal and informal training and assessment activities.
• Coordinate with Training Schedulers for training activities and competency assessments.
• Provide ongoing support to Protection Officers and Designated Managers.
• Maintain records of training and competency activities.
• Promote efficiency in learning practices and adopt contemporary learning solutions.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with managers and learners.
• Ensure industry currency by attending professional development events.
• Support other team activities and assist the Technical Rail Training team with assessments as required.
About you:
• High-level skills in delivering effective learning solutions that meet client needs and compliance requirements.
• Preferred knowledge of Safe working Training Specifications and Protection Officer Training as well as Queensland Rail's Network Rules and Procedures.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and adult learning concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as well as proficiency in MS Office suite based applications
• Strong administrative, planning, and organisational skills is a must in this role.
Requirements for the role:
- Holding a Drivers Licence is mandatory
- Willing to obtain or possess a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent TA40122)
- There will be significant regional travel by both vehicle and air as a requirement for this position
- Ability to obtain psychometric testing
- Safe working/Rail Safety qualifications would be advantageous
