We are looking for multiple highly enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join Queensland Rail’s Customer Contact Centre based in Brisbane CBD.
Our travel consultants provide high quality, friendly customer service. This role would suit someone with a passion for customer service and a genuine interest in helping people. You will be a quick thinker with an ability to work through problems and provide solutions.
This is a fixed term full time position (76 hours a fortnight) through until October 2026. You will be part of a master roster rotation with shifts varying week to week between the hours of 6:55am and 7:10pm. You will also be required to work 1 in 4 weekends and a number of public holidays.

Travel Consultant's are responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional customer service by providing accurate information and advice on Queensland Rail and third-party travel products
- Processing rail tickets and third-party bookings efficiently and in line with company policies
- Handling payments accurately using various methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and account billing
- Supporting revenue growth by actively promoting Queensland Rail Travel and partner products to customers
- Ensuring compliance with all ticketing, booking, and administrative procedures
- Using reservation systems effectively to manage customer bookings and enquiries
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of travel products, services, and promotions through regular training and industry engagement
We are looking to connect with someone who ideally has:
- Substantial experience in using Travel systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Exceptional admin, customer service and sales skills (both written and verbal)
- Previous inbound Call Centre and/or Travel and Tourism experience is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a diverse team in a fast-paced work environment
