The Health Safety and Wellbeing team currently have an opportunity for a WHS Adviser to join the team in a permanent position.

 

Your Opportunity

Join us in a role where you’ll manage risk and safety compliance across our Business Group, ensuring robust systems are in place to meet legislative obligations, corporate standards, and business priorities. This is a critical position that plays a central role in shaping a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.

 

You can expect some of your responsibilities to include:

  • Support the delivery of enterprise safety frameworks in line with scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Coordinate safety inspections and assurance audits to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and QR governance requirements.
  • Conduct incident investigations and manage regulatory notifications.
  • Analyse incident and hazard data to support risk-based safety improvements.
  • Provide safety advice on projects to support business outcomes.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through clear and timely communication.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $117,750 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work 50/50 options to support a healthy work-life balance.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience designing and implementing Safety Management Systems using best practice risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation and safety systems.
  • Skilled in risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate internal and external resources to meet objectives.
  • Strong organisational skills in reviewing and implementing systems and processes.
