Your opportunity

Queensland Rail's Presentation team based in Bundaberg have an opportunity available for a Senior Tilt Train Presentation Attendant on a permanent part time basis working 66 hours per fortnight.

 

In this role, you will work in a small supportive team of three responsible for co-ordinating the day to day operations, identifying and implementing improvement processes and co-ordinating the employees, equipment and materials necessary to achieve a cost effective, high quality cleaning, presentation and minor maintenance service for the Electric Tilt Train and other passenger units as required.

As a Senior Tilt Train Presentation Attendant your duties will include:

  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise all presentation and minor maintenance activities, ensuring the availability of required spare parts.
  • Manage staff rostering to align with operational demands, and apply relevant human resource policies regarding part-time and casual employees.
  • Support the safety, reliability, and availability of the Tilt Train by carrying out minor maintenance tasks in line with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Serve as the unit’s representative in communications with management, Rollingstock Defect Coordinators, Operational Performance Engineers, customers, and technical personnel, and ensure outcomes are communicated back to the team.
  • Deliver a high standard of cleaning and presentation for the Tilt Train and other passenger services, adhering to all safety and environmental protocols.
  • Undertake any additional duties necessary to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the depot.

 

The work is all night work with part of the work outdoors in the weather. Please note that the work is physical in nature and an adequate level of physical strength and mobility is required.

 

Roser/Hours

This is a permanent part time basis working 66 hours per fortnight. You will be working 4 nights per week Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 20:45 – 05:15.

 

We are seeking to connect with someone who ideally will have:

  • The ability to work autonomously but also within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a customer focused attitude to ensure a positive experience with customers.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to go the ‘extra mile’.
  • A safety conscious attitude.
  • Resilience and ability to self-motivate.
  • Ability to undertake a variety of manual handling tasks including cleaning and lifting of heavy luggage up to 20 kilograms.
  • Previous cleaning experience or admin experience (ticketing or booking of travel).
  • Background in commercial cleaning and minor maintenance is beneficial.
