Based at Cloncurry Station, you'll become part of a dedicated team of technicians, electricians, and mechanical staff, who all work together to cover the region from Mt Isa to Richmond.

  

As a Telecommunications Technician you will carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications and electronic equipment to ensure safe and effective operation. This role would be best suited to those with proven experience with radio & transmission systems and remote monitoring equipment. A considerable amount of work is conducted out in the field, so you must be able to travel away and work in a variety of locations.

 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunication and electronic equipment
  • Maintaining records and associated documentation
  • Reporting on actual work performed against the scheduled maintenance program
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications, including work performed by subordinates

 

People who count. We are looking to connect with someone with:

  • Sound skill in the installation, maintenance and fault rectification of telecommunications equipment and systems
  • Unrestricted driver’s license
  • Electronics Trade Certificate (similar qualifications in electronics considered)
  • Must have capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
  • Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
  • Participate in an on-call roster with standby allowance benefits
