As a Track Inspection Officer, you will assist in the management and maintenance of infrastructure assets by supporting assessments, inspections and development of plans and programs.
 

The Opportunity:

This position is permanent full time based at our Sunshine depot in North Brisbane, though occasionally you will be required to travel to regional sites to support the SEQ district. The roster for this position is a 9-day fortnight, with rotational Saturday and Sunday 10-hour shifts.


Some Responsibilities include:

  • Aid in ensuring asset condition is maintained to the required standard

  • Ensure effective planning is carried out for track inspections

  • Provide appropriate data to assist inspectors in recommending treatment and schedule actions as required

  • Monitor track related Key Performance Indicators

  • Support in carrying out audits and project supervision for works performed by resources or contractors

  • Ensure physical assets align with the digital asset

  • Contribute to development and maintenance of core skills to obtain the qualification of Track Inspector.


About you:

  • Cert III Rail Infrastructure

  • Valid Australia Driver’s Licence

  • Knowledge of track construction, maintenance and CETS (Civil Engineering Track Standards

  • Substantial level of skill in interpreting and analysing multiple data sets

  • Substantial communication and negotiation skills

  • Experience with EAMS, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and Chart Tools

  • Interest in career development into Track Inspector position.
