  • Working the current roster potential earnings of $95,000 plus 12.75% super – including penalties
  • 9-day fortnight (Mon-Fri, Mon-Thurs) - 0600 to 1500 during the summer months & 0700 to 1600 in winter

About the role

 

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Labourer to join our dedicated Track team based in Hughenden. This team is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the railway track around the Hughenden area and beyond.

 

As a Trackworker, you'll perform heavy manual labouring type tasks, such as replacing railway sleepers and a variety of other track maintenance activities.

 

This position is constantly in the field so you must be able to work in challenging weather conditions and high temperatures.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of the railway track
  • Carry out manual labour duties, including flood repairs and emergency work
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently

 

About you
 

  • Based within the local area and have the capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
  • Recent experience in a manual handling or physical labouring type role
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • You are committed to maintaining a high standard of safety at all times
  • Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
  • Must have C class licence as a minimum
