Our track team is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Labourer to join our local team based in Innisfail.
This is an exciting entry level position to kick-start your rail career and join an expanding busy team that continues to grow.
The Innisfail Track team is responsible for maintaining our rail network around the Cairns region including to Kuranda and beyond with the opportunity to explore QLD as you’ll be required from time to time to work away from your home station. This position doesn’t have any pre-employment requirements other than a Drivers Licence. However you must be hardworking and have a proven ability to work within a team for extended periods.

About you;
- To be successful in progressing you MUST hold a current manual C Class Drivers licence
- A hard working nature and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- You must have a strong commitment to safety – your safety and the safety of those around you
- Recent experience in a manual handling or physical role, within a fast paced operational environment
- This role involves some travel, so having the flexibility to travel throughout the regions is also required
Hours and salary
The starting base salary for this position is $66,149 plus 12.75% super. Working on the current 9-day fortnight (78 hours) you can expect to earn over $80,000.
