About the role
Queensland Rail have a new vacancy for an experienced fabricator to join our team and work within our Mayne (Bowen Hills) depot. You will be required to fabricate, weld and cut materials in order to repair or make modifications to all components of our rollingstock.
We are looking for a trade certified and experienced fabricator or boiler maker to join the team on a 9 month fixed term basis.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include
• Work with other fabricators or engineers on rollingstock modifications to ensure work is compliant with QR and industry standards
• Investigate and repair broken or fault components of rollingstock
• Update important records using the computer

About you
• Metal Fabricator Trade Cert
• Previous experience boiler making or the fabrication industry
• Willingness to abide by QR’s safe working policies
• Good communication skills – written and verbal
