About the role
In this role, you will conduct overhauls, provide technical support, and maintenance services to contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our rollingstock fleet.
The successful fitter is to work within our Rollingstock Maintenance team based at Mayne Yard (Bowen Hills). Working a rotating roster – 4 shifts per week on average plus 5 weeks annual leave.

About you
• Trades Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Fitter/ Welder, Motor Mechanic or hold an equivalent qualification
• Proven fault-finding experience on light and heavy mechanical equipment
• Strong focus on safety

Hours and Salary
Working in this team on the current roster a Mechanical Fitter earns between $110,000 - $130,000 plus superannuation. This includes the allowances and penalty rates for weekend and afternoon/night shifts. Overtime is also available.
The roster will include morning, afternoon and weekend shifts. You must be available to meet these requirements to be considered for this role.
