Your opportunity
As we continue to grow, we're creating multiple exciting opportunities for electrical fitters to expand their careers into rollingstock and join our dedicated Travel Train team.
You’ll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical components throughout our travel rollingstock fleet. This hands-on role is key to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our transportation and tourism services across our regional operations and offers the chance to be an integral part of our day-to-day success, for a Tomorrow that Counts.
Our fleet includes: Spirit of Queensland, Spirit of the Outback, Westlander and the fastest train in Australia, our Tilt Train.

Hours and Salary
- 16 week rotating roster – please see attached
- $43.80 / hour
- Plus afternoon and night shifts allowances
- Plus penalty rates for weekends
What You’ll Bring
- Electrical Fitter and Mech Licence
- PLC and relay logic control systems
- Alternator/generator systems advantageous
- Proven fault finding experience
- Strong focus on safety
