Instructional Designer – 3-Month Contract (Immediate Start)

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and hands-on Instructional Designer to jump into a short-term backfill role and hit the ground running. If you’re proficient in Articulate 360 – Storyline and Rise, and thrive in fast-paced environments where you can make a real difference—we want to hear from you.

About the Role

You’ll be designing and developing high-quality, flexible and compliant learning solutions that support business priorities and workforce capability uplift. This role sits within a dynamic Learning & Development team and will see you work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging digital, blended and face-to-face learning solutions.
  • Build and publish eLearning content using Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Develop learning and assessment tools that align with AQF standards and RTO compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to translate complex information into accessible, learner-friendly content.
  • Review, update and enhance existing training materials to ensure they remain current and effective.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

About You

You're a creative and confident Instructional Designer with strong technical capability, a solutions-focused mindset, and solid experience using Articulate 360, including Storyline and Rise, along with a strong understanding of adult learning principles, learning pathways, and compliance within vocational training contexts, and you can start immediately, work autonomously, and confidently produce engaging content.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline and Rise – essential.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud - desired
  • Demonstrated experience designing engaging learning solutions that support real-world application.
  • Strong knowledge of AQF standards, training packages, and RTO requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to self-manage competing deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and high-level written and digital literacy.
