About the role
Based at our Mayne depot in Bowen Hills, our Presentation Attendants clean and provision City Network Rollingstock and Maintenance facilities and equipment to Queensland Rail standards to help ensure a safe and pleasant customer experience for our City Network customers.
Working on a four-week, 24/7 shift roster, your focus will be cleaning the inside of train carriages (including the emptying of bathroom facilities), cleaning locomotive windscreens and removing exterior graffiti using a pressure washer and chemicals.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include
• Perform cleaning and presentation duties including graffiti removal as directed.
• Use instructions and Material Safety Data Sheets for all cleaning products.
• Communicate to staff and supervisors in person, by telephone and radio efficiently and effectively, fill out logbooks, check sheets and timecards in a legible manner.
• Provide customer service by following Quality Standards, Work Instructions and procedures to ensure thorough and timely cleaning of trains.
• Ensure that all work practices are carried out in accordance with Queensland Rail Environmental Management System

About you
• Substantial skill in working co-operatively and productively in a team environment
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, product application and safe usage
• Sound knowledge of Quality initiatives, Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Management
• Excellent communication skills – with ability to establish and develop working relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to be agile and highly adaptable to changing plans/ targets
