About the role
We are currently seeking a Traveltrain Mechanical Maintainer to join our team based in Bowen Hills (Mayne) on a initial contract position until August 2025 ,full-time basis (with likehood of extension)

In this role you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient and reliable preventative maintenance, presentation and repair of Traveltrain rollingstock and associated components and equipment. This is a varied role which will see you working on hydraulic and refrigeration (including air conditioning) systems, diesel engines and pneumatics.

Hours and salary
This role requires you to work on a 8 day fortnight (76hrs) Rotational across day shifts (0630-1600hrs), Afternoon Shifts (1330hrs – 2300hrs) and weekends (0630-1600hrs).

Working in this team on the current roster a Mechanical Fitter earns between $107,193 - $116,332 plus 12.75% superannuation. This includes the allowances and penalty rates for weekend and afternoon shifts. Overtime is also available.  

About you
•    Trades Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Fitter/ Welder, Motor Mechanic or hold an equivalent qualification 
•    Proven fault finding experience in Diesel engines, hydraulics systems, pneumatics and refrigeration
•    Strong focus on safety
