About the team
Our Travel and Tourism Maintenance Team are currently seeking a Traveltrain Maintainer to join their team based in Bowen Hills (Mayne) on a Permanent basis.

Your opportunity
This position is responsible for assisting trades staff to perform maintenance, repairs and cleaning of the Rollingstock. You will be an adaptable individual who has outstanding time management skills. Previous heavy vehicle or industry maintenance experience will also be highly regarded. 

 Key responsibilities of a Traveltrain Maintainer include:    
•    Contribute to safety, reliability and availability of Traveltrain rollingstock by assisting trades staff to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to rollingstock
•    Work as part of a team to accomplish the maintenance and presentation objectives as efficiently as possible
•    Undertake all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Queensland Rail’s Safety Management System to achieve Zero Harm and Environmental Management System and all other Queensland Rail policies
•    Undertake all non-skilled depot duties including housekeeping and cleaning as necessary to ensure the facility, tools, parts and test equipment are kept clean and tidy and provide a safe workplace

 About you
•    Previous experience working as a trade assistant 
•    Strong interpersonal, communications and customer service skills
•    The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
•    High risk work licence, forklift licence, QLD drivers licence – highly regarded 

Hours and Salary
The team work a rotating day/afternoon roster (38 hour week, 9.5 hour days, 8 day fortnight).  Day shift (6:30am – 4:00pm) and afternoon shift (1:30pm – 11:00pm) rosters will vary although you can expect to work weekends on a rotating roster. In addition, working public holidays or overtime may be required to meet business needs. 

This position is permanent full-time with a starting salary of $68,191 + super + any applicable penalties for overtime, weekend or public holiday work.
