We are seeking a Customer Service Attendant (Stations) (internally known as Station Assistant (Guard) to join our Gulflander team in Normanton on a casual basis.

Purpose That Counts. As a Customer Service Attendant (Stations), some of your duties will include: 


•    Provide friendly customer service at the Normanton Train Station 
•    Prepare the Gulflander for each trip, including restocking and loading / unloading the train, help with customer luggage (up to 20kg)
•    Keeping the station, train, facilities and gardens clean, safe and looking their best 
•    Making platform announcements and operate station machinery and equipment 
•    Assisting with bookings, enquiries and phone calls 
•    Reporting safety concerns to your leader 
•    Performing guard duties when required to work on board the train such as moving the train (shunting), securing doors and connecting hose bags 

 

Roster / Hours


This is a casual position offering approx. 25 hours per week. 


This role typically works Monday to Friday between 0700 to 1530; additional weekend and public holiday work may also be required. 


Occasional overnight work in Croydon may also be required if working on the train, where shifts may finish as late as 1900. 


We are looking to connect with someone who ideally has: 


•    The ability to work independently and as part of a team 
•    Strong communication skills coupled with a customer focused mindset 
•    Sound computer skills.
•    A safety-focused mindset
•    Ability to occasionally lift up to 20kg
•    Current C Class Driver Licence (essential) 
•    Previous cleaning or admin experience is desirable but not essential
