We have an opportunity for the Regional Asset Manager Central Systems on a permanent full-time basis. 

 

Your opportunity
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Regional South, you will be responsible for senior leadership across Asset Management, Asset Maintenance, and Supply Chain Management within the multi-disciplinary teams

 

You will lead large, multi-disciplinary teams to achieve a highly engaged and productive workforce, ensuring the safe and reliable provision of customer-centric asset services. This will be accomplished through effective asset strategies, investment plans, and maintenance schedules. 
 

This position will be based in Rockhampton and will look after Rockhampton and the Central West line through to Longreach 


 

About the role: 

  • Manage and coordinate the response to emergency situations (e.g., derailments, incidents, natural disasters or near misses) within the geographic/corridor to ensure disruptions and impediments to the network are minimised.
  • Lead large operational and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve a highly engaged, productive workforce underpinned by a safety culture and commitment to drive continued business improvements to deliver safe and compliant assets that contribute to Queensland Rail's service excellence, customer satisfaction, revenue and profit.
  • Manage the financial and budgetary obligations of the department ensuring all capital and operational expenditure and revenue needs are met in accordance with business requirements.
  • Provide strategic direction and drive all discipline unit business targets, objectives, performance measures, safety responsibilities, assurance and implement business performance initiatives across internal and external works.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and constructive relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, union representatives and the community to facilitate a positive end-to-end customer experience as well as improving the delivery of maintenance of the Regional network infrastructure.

 

About you: 

  • Highly organised and resilient individual with experience leading a team
  • Extensive knowledge and high level of skills in delivering maintenance and construction practices and processes through "whole of life" asset management.
  • High level of skill in providing senior leadership and strategic direction in the management as well as financial management skills to enable achievement of the financial performance of the area
  • High level of skill in the implementation of change management strategies to assist the business to optimise profitability with also a level of interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and relationship building skills to build and sustain productive internal and external relationships and partnerships.
