- Block working roster - 9 days on / 5 days off or 8 days on / 6 days off

About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trackworker (Labourer) to join our Central West team on a full-time basis. Working from Rockhampton, you’ll be part of a field-based team maintaining track infrastructure across remote areas including the lines between Emerald to Winton and Emerald to Clermont.
As a Trackworker, you will carry out heavy manual tasks including sleeper replacement and general rail maintenance. The role requires working outdoors in varied and sometimes extreme conditions, and frequent travel away from home while on shift.
In this role you will:
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of railway track and associated infrastructure
- Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with procedures
- Travel and perform outdoor work across regional Queensland, including emergency response works such as flood repairs
About you
- Previous experience in manual labour or physically demanding work environments
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures in remote or challenging conditions
- A strong team player with effective communication skills
- Capacity to travel for extended periods while on roster
- Willingness to work weekends or overtime as required
- Licences or competencies such as truck licence, excavator, skid steer, or front-end loader are desirable
- Willingness and ability to obtain qualifications including Protection Officer and Cat 3 Driver certification
You’ll also have the opportunity to gain a First Aid certificate, High Risk Work Licence (DG and LF), and Working Safely at Heights ticket as part of your development pathway.
