About the Role
Based in Roma, you'll be responsible for asset planning and auditing activities, as well as conducting building inspections across our stations, depots, and railway housing.
You will also supervise maintenance works to ensure they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with maintenance plans, relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate the sourcing, supervision, and administration of external contractors to deliver maintenance on Queensland Rail’s above-rail assets in line with the annual work program and maintenance plans.
- Supervise and monitor the work of Queensland Rail Facilities day labour teams, as directed by the Asset Supervisor or Works Management Coordinator.
- Conduct annual safety inspections and Residential Tenancy Agreement (RTA) inspections as required.
- Liaise with the Works Management Coordinator or Asset Supervisor to negotiate the use of day labour resources to deliver on assigned maintenance plans.

About you
This is a semi-autonomous position reporting to the Asset Supervisor – South West and is ideal for a trade-qualified professional with strong organisational and reporting skills.
You’ll also bring the following:
- Trade Certificate in one of the following: Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing or Electrical
- ‘C’ class drivers’ licence
- Proven experience in a supervisory role
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including solid computer literacy
