Due to our commitment to safety and on-going improvement of our network, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a CCTV Analysis Unit Team Leader to join the Security Intelligence portfolio.

 

In this busy, hands on, role you will operate as the single point of contact to effectively co-ordinate/manage the day-to-day operations of the CCTV Analysis Unit (CAU). As a direct report to Manager Security Intelligence, you will lead and manage a high performing team to deliver forensic evidence for external stakeholders, as well as the processing of CCTV recordings for internal stakeholders.

Overview of main responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the CAU ensuring all activities including, evidence procurement, the conduct of forensic analysis of recorded images and audio, evidence cataloguing, evidence examination, identification of relevant material, image and sound editing, image enhancement and all documentation are conducted in accordance with the CAU Business Instruction, Standard Operating Procedures, legislation, codes of practice and relevant information privacy principles.
  • Manage CAU quality assurance activities and processes, which can include audits, administrative and technical reviews, tests and required maintenance.
  • Contribute advice to improve the operation of the CAU, including advice relating to technology advancements, client servicing and or analytical (software and hardware) improvements to enhance CAU operations.
  • Perform in rostered on-call duties on an out of hours basis (as required), for the urgent retrieval and analysis of recorded images and audio.
  • Lead and manage seven direct reports

 

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in a leadership/manager role being accountable for direct reports
  • High level of computer and electronic CCTV experience
  • High level of attention to detail ability to follow Processes and Procedures
  • Previous experience in small team workflow management
  • Possession of qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution in the field of electrical engineering (video signal processing), imaging, television operations or related field would be an advantage. 

 

The recruitment and selection process for this position will require a psychometric assessment to confirm suitability to be regularly exposed to distressing images and working in a small environment.
