Your Opportunity

Our SEQ Operations team is committed to ensuring the safety and ongoing security of our customers, passengers, and the general community. Due to our commitment to safety and on-going improvement of our network, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Security CCTV Team Leader to join the Security Intelligence portfolio.

 

In this busy, hands on role, you will lead and manage operations of the Security CCTV Unit (SCU). As a direct report to Manager Security Intelligence, you will lead two CCTV Coordinators (and wider team of five Analysts) to deliver forensic evidence for external stakeholders, as well as the processing of CCTV recordings for internal stakeholders. This role requires someone who is able to conducted repeat job processing work, manage others, and be a key stakeholder as part of fault remediation and CCTV technology projects.

 

 

Overview of main responsibilities:

  • Manage SCU operational activities, ensuring evidence procurement, forensic analysis of images and audio, cataloguing, examination, identification of relevant material, editing, enhancement, and documentation are carried out in accordance with SCU instructions, standard operating procedures, legislation, codes of practice, and privacy principles.
  • Oversee SCU quality assurance activities and processes, including audits, administrative and technical reviews, tests and maintenance.
  • Provide advice and coordinate with stakeholders to improve SCU operations, including technological advancements, client servicing, and analytical improvements.
  • Perform rostered on call duties, outside normal hours, for urgent retrieval and analysis of recorded images and audio. 

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in a leadership/project management/CCTV and or Telecommunications and being accountable for direct reports (including being accountable for performance and development matters)
  • High level of computer (incl. electronic CCTV) experience
  • High level of attention to detail ability to follow Processes and Procedures
  • Previous experience in small team workflow management
  • Proven ability to respect others

The recruitment and selection process for this position will require a criminal history check and psychometric assessment to confirm suitability to be regularly exposed to distressing images and to lead and work in a small team environment.
