Purpose that Counts.
Queensland Rail is seeking a dedicated and motivated Rail Lubricant Attendant to join our team in Townsville on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, servicing, and maintaining track lubricators and associated equipment, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and cost-effective services.

Key responsibilities
- Maintain, clean, and service rail lubricators to required standards and report on their condition and effectiveness.
- Follow Queensland Rail’s guidelines to minimize risks to people, property, and the environment.
- Adhere to safe working practices and meet relevant work standards as per company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure all tasks align with the Safety Management System.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and suggest new work practices.
- Work in line with Queensland Rail's Employee Management System.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your Supervisor or a qualified person.

Hours and Salary
- This role typically follows an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
- While working away, you'll receive a working away allowance, plus penalty rates for weekend work and overtime.
- Permanent position with a starting base salary of $81,741 + 12.75% superannuation, plus additional shift penalties and allowances.
- Working the current roster, there is potential to earn over $100,000 annually (including penalties and allowances).
- Overtime is available based on business needs and in compliance with our fatigue management policy.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quality improvement skills.
- A positive team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Previous experience working with machinery is desirable, but not essential.
