About the role:
As the Regional Train Service Delivery Manager (North), you’ll provide strategic leadership across people, operations and service delivery for the Regional TSD workforce.
You’ll lead transformational change that drives safety, performance and culture, building strong capability to deliver reliable, customer focused rail services in a fast paced operational environment.
You’ll be responsible for two direct reports and approximately seventy-three indirect reports across Cairns, Townsville and Rockhampton.
This is a permanent full-time position that can be based in Townsville or Cairns where you will be required to work outside of work hours and frequent travel intrastate.
Purpose that Counts. As the Regional TSD Manager (North) you will:
• Lead the regional rail traffic crew workforce, building capability, engagement and a high-performing safety culture
• Deliver safe, reliable and efficient crew operations by overseeing daily performance, regulatory compliance and service delivery to improve reliability, productivity, on-time running and RTSC KPI’s
• Lead and support the Regional TSD leadership team to deliver a cohesive, sustainable operating model aligned to the Regional Operations Plan
• Drive transformational and change initiatives that embed a high performance, productivity and continuous improvement
• Build strong, trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including unions, to resolve issues and optimise service delivery
• Own the regional safety management environment (including investigation of accidents and incidents), ensuring compliance with Queensland Rail standards, legislation and workplace health and safety requirements

We are looking to connect with someone who will have:
• Proven senior leadership capability strong people leadership, coaching and performance management skills
• Demonstrated success leading transformational change that drives cultural shift, employee engagement, productivity and efficiency
• Highly developed influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to build and manage complex stakeholder relationships
• Extensive experience managing safe working and Workplace Health and Safety systems in a safety-critical environment
• Strong knowledge of rail operations or a comparable regulated industry, with a clear commitment to safety and customer outcomes.
• Hold a ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
