Our well-established maintenance team is currently seeking a Signal Electrician to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

About the team
Our Regional Assets division plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of Queensland’s rail network, keeping it dependable for the people of our state.
This role is part of our dedicated Operational Services team, which includes experts in Signalling and Telecommunications. Although the position currently operates on a FIFO basis from Townsville, we are open to applications from candidates based in Mt Isa and Cloncurry, or those interested in relocating to these locations.
The team are responsible for servicing the Mt Isa line, which runs between Townsville and Mt Isa. In addition to planned preventative maintenance the team also perform signalling upgrades and corrective works.
About the role
- Install and repair signalling equipment
- Attend signalling failures to analyse, repair and report on cause of signal failures
- Maintain records and associated documentation relating to asset renewal programs and costing systems
- Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment performance and condition irregularities
About you
- Certificate IV Railway Signalling
- Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence or interstate equivalent that can be changed over prior to starting
- Must have capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
