Your opportunity.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Maintainer to join our Regional Assets North, Wayside Systems team based at our Townsville depot.

 

As a Systems Maintainer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of Queensland Rail’s mechanical signalling equipment. Based within a skilled, multidisciplinary signalling team, you’ll support a broad region stretching from Townsville to St Lawrence, and as far north as Cairns and Kuranda.

 

To be considered you must hold a Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling and a current driver’s licence.

 

Purpose that Counts.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical signalling equipment
  • Assisting with maintenance and repair of standby generator plants
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with WH&S standards
  • Accurately completing administrative and record-keeping tasks
  • Contributing to the improvement of existing work procedures and practices
  • Reporting on completed tasks against scheduled maintenance plans
