Purpose that Counts

 

As a Network Control Officer, you’ll play a critical role in keeping Queensland’s regional rail network safe, reliable, and running. Using advanced digital rail management systems and technology, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient separation of train services across the 3,680km of track, helping connect communities, freight industries, and passengers across regional Queensland.

Training Program Overview


•    Program commences: Monday the 8th of June 2026
•    This intensive program requires dedication and focus where no leave outside of public holidays is allowed during the training period
•    Combination of classroom learning, simulation based training, and practical on-the-job training
•    Upon successful completion of your 12-month training period and assessments, you’ll be eligible to secure a permanent role and build a rewarding long-term career with Queensland Rail.

 

Please note there is limited flexibility within the roster. We encourage you to consider how this may impact your lifestyle and commitments before applying:


•    Available to work an ongoing, and unstructured 24/7 roster (with applicable penalty rates)
•    Roster includes weekends, nights, and public holidays
•    Shifts are 8.43 hours in length, with 76 hours worked over a fortnight, plus potential overtime opportunities
