Your opportunity
As a Bridgeworker you will play a vital role in carrying out maintenance tasks on our structures such as the repair of steel bridges including drainage work. You are responsible for ensuring safe working practices are adhered to and quality work standards are achieved.
This position is always in the field therefore you must be happy to work in a variety of weather conditions. There is also regular travelling and working away across the district primarily between Wyreema to Wallangarra and out to Thallon. This position sits within our Warwick Structures Teams where you will work with a supportive, engaged, and tightknit team of up to seven Bridgeworkers.
This role is ideal for people who:
- Are based in Warwick and can travel and work throughout regional Queensland.
- Experience in manual handling and physical labour is a plus, but the right attitude matters most.
- Hold a C class driver's licence
- Have a strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Are comfortable working in various weather conditions, including hot temperatures.
About you
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Labouring / any trade assistant experience
- Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends
- Front-end loader, excavator, skid steer, truck licence, or other licences/ tickets are desirable.
This role offers:
- Base of $66,000 ($33/hr) with earnings up to $85,000 Inc penalty rates and a generous superannuation scheme
- 9-day fortnight - 0700 to 1600 (Mon-Fri one week, Mon-Thur following)
- Paid training and ongoing support
- Strong focus on safety – we ‘work safe’ every day to ensure everyone goes ‘home safe’

- Uniform, tools to perform your duties and training supplied by Queensland rail
