Your Opportunity:
Our Yandina Trackside Systems Team are currently seeking a motivated Co-ordinator Wayside Systems. This is a vital leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of our wayside signalling systems across the region.
In this role, you will supervise the maintenance, repair, and minor installation of wayside signalling systems, while providing expert technical support where qualified. You will also be responsible for managing day-to-day team operations, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring adherence to safety, legislative, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor preventative maintenance and rectification programs
- Regularly inspect and report on wayside signalling systems and equipment being maintained, to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and procedures
- Provide a pro-active response to rectify system faults thus minimising train delays and carry out investigation of systems faults and operational anomalies as required
- Manage day to day administration of staff and monitor staff performance.
- Provide cooperative liaison with staff in other sections and districts for effective maintenance, installation and fault repair of signal systems and equipment, the emphasis being on customer service
- Assist with budgeting, resource planning, and inventory management

About you:
- Have experience supervising staff and technical resources within a signalling or maintenance environment
- Good knowledge of wayside signalling systems and equipment as they apply to rail operations
- Hold the required preemployment qualifications Cert IV in Electrical Railway Signalling, Queensland Electrical Licence and C Class Driver’s Licence
- Analytical and technical investigation skills, with a track record of implementing improvements and conducting audits.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Salary ET4.1 $117,877 – ET4.3 $130,854 + a regional payment of $288.46 per fortnight + penalty rates for overtime and call out +12.75% Superannuation
