About the role:

 

Bring your people and technical training skills to accelerate the development of Queensland Rail’s operational staff.

 

The Asset Training Delivery Team supports development of the design of our training programmes through their subject matter expertise and delivers these training programmes using several learning channels. Our audiences are Queensland rail employees who manage and support the train network in SEQ and Regional areas.

 

This is a rewarding position currently based at the Acacia Ridge Training Centre (behind the TAFE), moving to our new training facility at Geebung within the next 12 months. This provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a meaningful, varied role that combines their technical knowledge with a passion for sharing knowledge.

 

You’ll collaborate with your peers and with Business Leaders to deliver ASQA and Enterprise based training ensuring that learning outcomes are achieved. The training you will deliver is critical to building the capability of our people working with key systems, processes and tools used to deliver the management and operation of our rail network.

 

Planned and well managed travel will be required as we have depots all over SEQ and Regional Queensland.

 

About you:

 

Demonstrated success in training delivery, working with a variety of stakeholders in a complex environment to assure legislative, enterprise and learning governance is met, as well as:

 

  • Drivers Licence

  • Certificate IV Rail Signalling

  • Electrical Mechanic Licence

  • Attention to detail and the ability to consistently manage learner outcomes.

  • Continuous improvement mindset to achieve successful learning outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and engagement skills with the ability to develop sound relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.

  • Proven experience in training and learning methodologies and tools, with a strong focus on learner achievement.

  • Experience in complex systems environments

  • Strong planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment

  • Experience in implementing academic quality assurance practices including assessment

  • Certificate IV in Rail Signalling and your Electrical Mechanic Licence
